School Bus for El Camino

El Camino has the capacity to receive up to 50 boys. At present we have 29 boys who attend various local schools either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on their age/grade.

To save on local public transport costs and to facilitate the transportation of the boys to and from school we need a bus (see photo). Estimated cost U$26,000

Additional Construction at El Alfarero

El Alfarero was originally built with a capacity to receive up to 15 girls. We now have 8 girls and two of their children in the home and have the need to extend the facilities to receive up to 30.

The first phase will include more bathrooms, an interior dining/living room, larger kitchen and 2 classrooms at a cost of U$43,000. We are just finishing this phase now (July 2010)

Playground for El Alfarero

During 2009 we completed a playground in El Camino and have found it to be a big hit with the boys as many of them have never had the opportunity of playing on one before.

This year (2010) we are in the process of finishing the playground thanks to the work and finances of Awaken Bolivia Team 2010 from The Grace Place, Stuart, FL. Thanks guys!!
